Certificate IV in TESOL provides the practical skills and underpinning knowledge for an individual to offer basic training in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in the role of a teaching assistant or tutor, both in Australia and overseas.  Participants are provided with a broad knowledge of lesson planning and preparation, resource acquisition or development, and delivery techniques and methods.

On successful completion, TESOL learners will be able to assist EFL/ESL learners with pronunciation, speech and grammar, and assist children to learn English through the use of a wide range of activities.  Subject to National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) regulations students may qualify to teach English as a Second Language in Australia as well as overseas.
